VALMAR'S
Canine Companions of the Past

See You at the Rainbow Bridge Dear Friends!

Tina
Tina Maria, UD
Tina My first Obedience Dog. Tina was a 'shy' Collie but a super heeler. Always willing to please. I was told she would never finish a Utility Degree....
1970 - 1982

Heidi
Valmar"s Duchess Heidi, Am/Can CDX
Heidi My first Sheltie. Heidi taught me humility while showing her in Utility. She hated it. My worst experience was when she circled the articles for over 5 minutes....even the judge looked at his watch and made a comment...then she proceeded to tip-toe into the pile and pushed the correct article back to me until it hit the matting and then she picked it up. And before you ask, we would have qualified if she had taken the last jump (instead of stopping dead in front of it before going around it).
April 23, 1976 - 1990

Becky
Can CH
Valmar Takes A Chance,
Am/Can/Ukc UD
Becky My first Champion. Becky was a fun dog to show even when she made mistakes. She loved to work but hated the static exercises and told me about that whenever she could. Everyone knew when Becky was in the ring. When she didn't bark in Utility - I knew I was in trouble! We tried doing flyball but her timing for catching the ball was not the best. Becky would have loved agility.
February 3, 1981 - March 25, 1993

Penny
Can CH
Luv-Le's Wings Of Time,
Am/Can/Ukc/Skc CDX
Penny My problem child. Penny ran away at 11 months and survived on her own for a full month. I was lucky to get her back. She had 3 Utility legs (1 Akc, 1 Ckc & 1 Ukc) before a shoulder injury cut short her obedience career. Penny had two litters, 8 in the first and 9 in the second, and was an excellent mom besides making pretty puppies.
March 7, 1988 - February 8, 2000

Reggie
Am/Can/Ukc/Skc CH
Valmar's Heart-Throb
Am/Can/Ukc CDX, NA, AG-I
Reggie My first home-bred Champion. Reggie loved to travel and was my constant companion. He hated showing but did it because I asked. He retained his pretty face and melting expression until the end.

Ali
Ukc CH
Sunbriar's Alliance At Valmar,
CD,Can/Ukc/Skc CDX, AG-II, CL1-RHF
Ali My bouncing boy who showed like a fool outside the ring but in the ring it was a different story. He also hated to have his picture taken! Ali loved agility but preferred to make his own course!
March 3, 1992 - July 5, 2002

Sable
Ukc CH, UACH, C-ATCH
Valmar Sable Bloss,
Am/Can/Skc CD,
AX, AXJ, OJP, OAC, NJC,
ChWC, ChFH
My first Agility Dog. She was sold as a puppy but I got her back at 2 yrs of age and she didn't even know the command to sit! Sable loved to make the teeter stay horizontal and even had a photo published in the Chatham News.
